I have a vlan setup for our HVAC vendor, and I have had no issues with connecting devices to any of our current network switches (3com 5500, Juniper EX2200 and 4200). I have recently installed a Juniper EX2300, and I cannot get the HVAC devices to connect to the network. They are all set with static IP’s, and when I attach a small “dumb” switch to the devices and have my laptop set with an ip on the same subnet, I can see/ping all the devices, but when I plug them back into the 2300, nothing.
From that switch, I can ping the gateway of the network/vlan in question, as well as all the other devices on that vlan from the switch, and when I plug my laptop in with an ip on that subnet I can also see the other devices.
I’ve tried setting the speed of the port to 100m as some have suggested to me that the ex2300 may have trouble with auto-negotiate with 100 meg devices, but that hasn’t seemed to help.
I’m looking for some advice on what to try next.
