Hi,
I've got a bad switch with some failing ports, so I need to replace the member live without dropping any traffic.
The pair of 5100s are acting as our TOR switch. I've already disabled all revenue interfaces facing the ESXi hosts, but I'm concerned with the auto-provisioned VCP interfaces.
I used a preprovisioned configuration and replacing the failed member in the config is simple enough.
I've read that when we replace the QFSP ports to do 1 at a time, as if you do them at the same time it can cause traffic flow on the main RE to drop for a couple seconds.
If this wasn't remote, I'd just do so in the middle of a night, but we are using remote smart hands so it has to be done during business hours.
So, having said that. I shouldn't see any traffic drop correct right?
