My company is deploying Airtame wireless HDMI/presentation devices. They are actually pretty nice. However, we want to get the discovery features working. This device uses SSDP for that, but we'll need this to work across VLANs (only the ones we choose).
Topology (illustrative):
Airtames (VLAN 1)
Workstations (VLAN 2,3,4)
Wireless (VLAN 5)
Guests (VLAN 6, routed through SRX and segmented from corporate network).
At a minimum, we'd have discovery working from all corporate VLANs (2-5 in this example). I'm going to say getting discovery to work into VLAN 6 is probably not worth the effort with the fact that it passes through an SRX as it's firewalled off.
All VLANs are on the same EX4200 stack. VLAN 6 is attached to an SRX which acts as the default gateway. VLANs 1-5 are attached to a virtual-router which acts as the default gateway.
In summary, can we get SSDP to work across VLANs / subnets on an EX4200 stack?
