Hello J-NET community:
Does anybody know if the EX4300-32F supports 1000Base-T SFP?
I need to install 24 SFP in this switch. I read the documentation and I didn't find any restriction.
Best regards

Hi all,
1-) How to use root password with when doing ssh to another EX from a EX... Like this format root@EX> ssh wasEx4200 password zzzzzz
2-) Is there a way to automatically passing (yes/no) promt and then directly get >cli promt rather than getting % shell fist?

Hi all,
There is a number of files that are needed to delete. For instance messages, dhcp_trace, interactive-commands, default-log-messages etc...Each files has sub files as well...
How can be laveraged single(only one line) junos cli command to delete multiple files and its sub files? IS it possible on Junos rather then jumping to shell (%)?
For instance:
> file delete /var/log/message|interactive-commands|default-log-messages|dhcp-trace
Hello,
I am facing issue about getting LACP message to pass through MX204. Below is the topology:
QFX5110------------MX204------------QFX5110
I have Juniper MX204 as PE router with MPLS enabled. I have a requirement which needs to configure LACP between QFX switches by passing through MX204. So, I am writing for idea/solution to make that happen.
Appreciate for any input.

Hi all,
How to troubleshoot to determine what reason causes JUNOS devices(srx and ex) rebooting themself suddenly...There is no power outage...
Hi all,
how to determine that a transit traffic sourced 2.2.2.2 and destinated 1.1.1.1 comes into ex9200 and leaving from which interface of the e9200? Any idea? I know on the SRX this can be achieved >sh sec flo ses so-pre des-pre etx... But on ex no idea honestly? Shouldn't be difficult?
Can we use 4x 40G switch of the Ex4300 as uplink ports and run def route/vrf for bgp ?
I have an ex4300 switch that is clustered with 5 ex4300 switches. I am adding EX-UM-4X4SFP card on the Primary and secondary of the ex4300 cluster then connect 3 of the ex3300 on a different floor.
1. How do I program the EX-UM-4X4SFP card to the Primary and secondary of the ex4300
2. Then add the other 3 ex3300 switches to the SFP and cluster them to the ex4300.

Hi all,
What reason can be to see many hold ones from output of >sh ro forwa-tab | mat hold? any ideas?
I'm developing a ZTP setup and right now my focus is on our ToR switch layer.
Setup:
Now to the issue at hand:
Everytime I reset the switches "request system zeroize", they come up as a virtual-chassis, because that's their default behavior.
How can I get them to operate as two stand-alone devices with separate configurations/identities - WITHOUT having to remove the VCP cables or something similar?
We have incomprehensible problems: MTU issue after make a vlan setup.

Hi there,
On Cisco, each interface is assigned a set number of pools for different frame sizes. These pools provide queing buffers for the interface
How does it work on EX 4600 ? Do we fixed/shared pool for each frame sizes for each port?
Back ground:
We are planning to use two EX 4600 switches for our storage. This will will be dediacted switched network just for storage.
We are looking into using jumbo frames.
Thanks and have a good weekend!!
Hello,
After a long break I wanted to change the port configuration on my EX3300 based Virtual Chassis.
To my surprise, the switch has returned an error (as below). I didn't change any rstp related configuration lines, only the port description.
What I tried already in order to solve that:
- run 'commit synchronize force'
- login to member 1 and run 'mgd -i' and 'commit' from master again
VC is a three member stack with JUNOS Base OS boot 12.3R3.4.

It is committed without errors. My question is: what is the difference between those configs? Are their equivalent? Why does the first config fails?
This is just an example. Maybe you are wondering I have just too much vlans, but the problem is relevant when switches are in stack. With 5 switches in stack the vlan number limit is 20.
Dear Team,
In log, command is not showing, which is run by network admin in ex4200 switch.
i have use below command to check the logs.
show log audit
