Hello,
I've been searching and trying a lot of things to get this working but haven't been successfull yet. Some people have a specific software installed that searches for a network key. It does that by broadcasting to a specific port (3047). Those that are on the same vlan as the network key work fine. However those in another vlan aren't able to reach the network key. I used my cisco switch as the l3 router for the other vlan. I used the ip helper-address config to send the broadcast to the other vlans and they were able to get the key. Now my switch that is the l3 gateway is a juniper ex2200. I tried a lot of configurations like the forwarding-options helpers port 3047 server 10.x.x.x or tried the targeted broadcast also. Nothing works.
Here is how it's setup:
user pc vlan 147 ------ ex2200 with vlan 147 and vlan 1 ------ ex2200 with vlan 147 and vlan 1 -------- network key vlan1.
So I have to get the broadcast of port 3047 from vlan 147 to vlan 1. My router for the the vlan 147 is the first ex2200 it meets.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks.
Marco
